    Hi Everyone,
    I am in the process of starting up a Bookkeeping Practice. Can anyone tell me where i can find templates for company polices and risk assessments?

    Also, i'm thinking of starting with a partner, i have a licence but she doesn't. Would she need to go through HMRC for supervision or can we both work under my licence?

    Your professional body would probably have the templates you are looking for.

    You should check the details of your licence. Mine for example is issued to me because my governing body only regulates individuals. Therefore if someone joined my Company they explicitly would not be covered by my practicing certificate and I nor they would be allowed to infer in any way that they were. Where I am supervising all their work that would fall under my certificate and I am responsible for it.

    Your partner is therefore probably going to need to get supervised by HMRC unless you have a firm wide licence.
