Hi there
Just after some quick advice (I could just ask my accountant but thought I'd ask here)
I currently have a LTD company for my graphic design work I currently do.
If I was thinking of setting up one or two more companies, am I able to put them all under this company or do I have to...
Not going to help you increase sales but give Girl Boss a watch if you get chance. Very similar story and it's based on a book too.
Good luck with it all. Give me a shout if you want me to have a look over your flyers and give you some pointers (for free). I can also design social media...
It's not really about 'getting the point'
Legally if you want to fire someone you have to go through the correct procedures or they can sue you.
This involves official warnings, that are documented and witnessed.
I don't have staff myself and only know this through prosedures at companies I...
If you want it to be recorded you need to have a witness to the verbal warning.
As it stands it's your word against theirs. They are also entitled to have someone sit in on a warning with them too from my understanding.
It sounds like it was a while back so your probably best just leaving it...
All I would say about freelancer and upwork etc is you get what you pay for...
Are you getting it a lot cheaper... sure
You will find once the job is paid that's you done with them, anything goes wrong they won't be on hand to help.
In the long run it could end up costing you much more and a...
I use .com for mine. Whilst I mainly work for UK clients - I am able and willing to work for non UK clients so I've just set it to that from the start.
There is no harm using the .com one. Like I said, set up the .co.uk one to automatically divert people to the .com one if they end up at the...
If you are only ever going to be aiming at the uk market then .co.uk is fine ( it's good that you have bought .com too thought to reserve the name and stop anyone else buying it )
If you plan on offering services worldwide at any point then use the .com
Either way you can set something up so...
Sorry to hear about the bad fortune.
Is the £4K per month?
You say you are opposite a secondary school, why not try getting something to target that market a little. Lunch deals and things like that to try and pick up custom or something?
A few of the local shops around here have installed...
Maybe put in some minimum order terms for rush jobs to make it worth your while. I don't do tshirt printing but generally once the artwork is ready and the plates set up for print etc that's the hard bit done?
I.e. We can deliver within 24 hours for free on minimum orders of xx and anything...
Online : Social Media - Facebook, Twitter, possibly Instagram, Blogging, networking on places like here and other business groups.
Offline : The main one would probably be networking and putting yourself out there in front of people.
I would disagree with upwork, fiverr etc - It's often a 'race to the bottom' on those sites price wise and people are just wanting the cheapest option. You can spend a lot of time pitching for work and writing proposals and never get a job because there is always someone undercutting.
My advice...
