    Leaflet delivery business

Hi, yes solo is a tad more but to be honest not so much as to make any real difference as far as i can see. The key is the multiple drops. Perhaps paying more is harder but would help with the retention issue.

    Leaflet delivery business

Yes, you are competing with the post office. Research shows (apparently from split testing) that leaflets delivered apart from the mail have a higher success rate. Something to do with people prioritise their mail over the other junk. But its getting customers to understand that !

    Leaflet delivery business

I've been looking at a franchise or even staring my own leaflet delivery business, but not only am i concerned about all the 'usual' stuff (will it work etc) im having some doubts about the integrity of the business model. You charge (lets say) £50 per 1000 leaflets and pay the person delivering...

    Sudden change of work hours

As far as we know its not mentioned in the contract. Not the care industry, but certainly a company that does not seem to care !

    Sudden change of work hours

Hi all, My 'friend' has an issue as follows; They work on a flexible hours basis whereby they work 4 hours a day as they wish. Management recently decided this needed to be formalised somewhat so it was agreed in writing that they could work 4 hours anytime between 08.00 and 18.00. Friend...

    Employee investigation outcome

Hi all, Is there a procedure that one should follow after investigating an employee when the initial investigation does not lead on to a disciplinary meeting etc ? In a nutshell, you suspend and then investigate someone but discover that they are either innocent of any offence or not guilty...

    Private mileage for vans

Hi all, (In the name of 'privacy' please excuse if i keep this 'fictional')..... Company A has a fleet of vans. The vans remain with the relevant employees who drive them to and from their homes. The company is happy to accept private use of the vans by its drivers. The company has a policy...

changing the % of shares owned in a Ltd company

Hi all, Say 2 people form a ltd company, issue 100 shares and then one get 90 and the other 20 - is it possible at some later date to change this 90/10 ratio to say 51/49 or something. Looking at starting out one person will have less involvement and what not at first but will them come on...

What to do with £10k in savings

And...........i seem to find people love to hold 'entire' coins, so if that appeals, great news is.....Ethereum. Currently sat around £1000 so you could get 10 - though id still only advise a more modest investment ! 2021 looks set to be a great year for it and it may very well out perform...

What to do with £10k in savings

May I suggest you look into Bitcoin - id at least put £1000 into it if you can. Should give you a better return than the bank.

    Options after appeal

Hi. There does not appear to be any procedure after the appeal. Not currently in a union. Just wondering what the options might be......

    Options after appeal

That would be the easy bit - unfair dismissal seems to have guidelines, its the events before that seem a tad harder to understand.

    Options after appeal

Hi all. If you are subject to a discipline hearing and it goes against you yet you disagree totally, are there any options beyond appeal ? I get that if it was a very serious issue you could leave and claim constructive dismissal (I guess), but what if its 'only' a written or verbal warning...

Employment law and the 'wording of an offence

Hi all. In a recent discipline hearing - let me state in my made up little mind and no similarity to any person(s) living or dead or companies is intended - a colleague of mine was 'charged' (probably not the right word) with using (and i quote)...."threatening and inappropriate words and...
