I am aware of the rules regarding subsistence but was not sure whether the fact that my client was working nearer to home as opposed to working "away" had any bearing.
I have a question regarding subsistence.

He claims employment expenses on his tax return.

I am currently having a "play" with quickbooks and have set up a vat liability opening balance as per the instructions in the help.

I am informed that the person in question has allowed membership of their professional body to lapse, and I suspect they have not registered with HMRC, hence my question.
Is anyone else having trouble getting through on the vat helpline number. I have been trying since a week gone Monday and all I am getting is an "I'm sorry, we are very busy" message. :(
Does anybody know if there are templates/charts of accounts available for completion of accounts for Limited Liability Partnerships using Quickbooks or VT.
Any help much appreciated.
