I have a placement for an A5 advert in a relevant publication reserved, and would like to obtain a suitable design. I have the basics of what I would like included, and relevant photos etc, but I would like someone to put some creative flair into the design. I know I could have a go myself, but...
I am a building control surveyor, and can confirm that even if the wall is not structural, a change in internal layout can also trigger a requirement for Building Regulations approval. I would seek advice from a local structural engineer or experienced builder regarding whether any of the walls...
I am now keeping track of my income and outgoings via cashbook, and it seems to be a very useful way of forcing me to keep track of my records, and is ideal for the amount of transactions I get. However I am having a bit of an issue with getting the opening balances to work.
I will use...
You will tend to find at the Local Authority that it is often easier for someone to just say no rather than try and deal with a situation that is unfamiliar. Try a more formal approach via written correspondence and see what response you get.
If I purchase stock (coins) from a member of the public, there is no receipt because I am not dealing with a business but an individual, how does this get recorded, can I make my own receipt of the transaction for my own records? Or is there something else I should be doing?

Yes, she is doing it at the moment, she works for the Local Authority though, so I fear that whilst she may be studying the subject the approach will be vastly different ...then again what do I know it may be identical :D
She has already given me some advice and support, but I hesitate to keep...
Perfect sense thanks for that, that was one of the main things that was confusing me. I do keep a detailed record of all stock purchases so I know exactly what stock I have at any one time, prevents me buying too many of the same item.
So I assume that adjustment is made at year end? The more I...
So if I understand this correctly the cost of sales is actually the costs associated with the products sold to date, not all stock purchases to date.
Therefore how would you allocate stock that has been purchased but not yet sold in VT cash book?
My business is selling coins, so there is...
When looking at transactions in VT cash book, an entry in cost of sales-purchases has a direct affect on the P&L account, therefore could someone not purchase stock/inventory/materials at the end of the year to reduce profits?
Or am I missing something really obvious
