Thanks.. That's a good point, but yes I should be able to afford it without getting any rental income. I'm really weighing up what would be the best long-term investment between buying a commercial property or moving to a bigger residential property.
I have been operating a small mail-order company from my home for 10+ years and I'm now looking to either buy a new home with more space to expand the business, or to buy a separate commercial property. I always felt that working from home made good financial sense, but having considered these...
Thanks for all advice. I will issue a refund and move on as suggested. It's an annoying situation, in large part due to the customers attitude. I wouldn't have sent to the hotel address if I'd realised, but it slipped through unnoticed. Lesson learned.
The goods were fairly low value so it wasn't worth sending tracked. I will probably have to accept the loss, but I am reluctant as I feel that the customer was at fault and now they are being rather unpleasant about it.
I have an unusual problem whereby a customer ordered goods on our website and specified an overseas delivery address, a hotel where they were staying for one week. The goods were fairly low value so we dispatched by airmail, but the customer did not receive them during the time they were at the...
Thank you for the suggestions. GSuite sounds like it's worth looking into but I'm not sure how the cost would work out in terms of the number of user accounts and basic vs business options. ..I currently use 5 different email addresses and I'm not sure if that would mean signing up as 5 users...
I have several email accounts and currently use MS Outlook on my office pc to send, receive & store messages. I also access my messages via iphone and laptop ..I would like to make more use of these devices for replying to emails but I find it makes it difficult to keep track of sent messages...
The platform is not one of the better known ones, but I'm really only looking for the graphic design and responsive page layout code to use as a template.
I have an established ecommerce website which is working ok, but I feel that it would benefit from a redesign as it's beginning to look a little dated. I want to stick with my existing shopping cart platform so I'm really just looking for a new responsive layout with improved graphics and...
I considered using Linnworks, but with around 1500 products, most of which are relatively low value, the current pricing plans don't seem like very good value for my business. I don't understand why they base their pricing purely on number of products, with no intermediate levels between 1000...
I'm considering a new business venture reproducing and selling art and craft related items such as rubber stamps, stencils, die cuts etc.. I have the equipment and know how to produce the items, but I'm struggling to find a source of suitable artwork which I can reproduce and sell. I can...
I have experience of review sites as an ecommerce business owner and also as a consumer. Positive customer reviews are a very powerful marketing tool and I am becoming increasingly sceptical about some review sites and the way some businesses use them. Two personal examples from recent...
I accept your point, and it may well have worked out better if I'd guaranteed to pay £200 + regardless of how good or bad the logos received were. However, these crowdsourcing companies promote the money back guarantee on their websites and without it you risk losing a lot of money for nothing...
I recently tried to get a new logo using a crowdsourcing website - Logo Guru - and the whole experience was a pretty bad. I submitted a detailed brief and set the price at the level recommended on their website. Within minutes of setting up the logo contest I was contacted by the company (from...
