You are maybe right in theory, but I dont think thats what Mathew is after (I may of course be wrong!!!)... If you rename a .doc to .txt and open in notepad for example, you will get pages of rubbish text... The antiword app will extract the body text of the document and store it...

Big Firefox fan here, used it for ages. *But* I am having the same prob with 1.5.2 with these forums.
Back to IE6 for these forums for now as I haven't had the chance to fix yet.
IE7 is an awful rip of Firefox IHO and dreadfully slow in beta.
