Thanks. I don't imagine having staff for a long time and then if and when I do, I should be able to afford a few quid for a phone! So, I'm really looking for a virtual landline which forwards to my mobile then?
So, it's around £3/m to rent the number (some places include 1 number), then a few outbound mins included then, 1p-10p/m depending on whether to mobiles etc.
So, I'd be better offer to make OB calls via my current mobile pack, which is unlimited (fair usage)
Hi Guys
I'm looking for some help in working out how best to set up my phone for my e-com website. Essentially, I just want to be able to publish a number, the customer calls my iPhone. But if I need to call them back, it's either part of the new business package or maybe I switch to using my...
Hi Guys
Hope this is in the correct forum (admin, please move if not).
Background
Almost 2 years to the day, I registered a Ltd company with a formation agent with the intention of starting quite quickly. However, a number of things have happened since and I never got very far with the...
Hi Guys,
I registered a ltd 13 months ago and a few things have got in the way of launching.
Last month I completed the annual statement (I think that’s what it’s called, cost £13 to file), with no changes. My accounting period is 31st Oct 2019. I was under the impression that when HMRC asked...
Having used Hermes for a while, I'd echo above. I now only use them for indestructible/cheap/slow items or as a last resort. It is nice to be able to drop stuff off at the shop and their online booking with paypal payments is handy. But you are at the mercy of self-employed and lowly paid...
Having used hosted sites such as shopify and own hosted like opencart, magento and prestashop. I'd say opencart is the way forward. Yes, you will need to do a little bit of homework to understand it. But in a short space of time, you will really know your shop. I'd spend my monthly budget on...
Hi,
8% is pretty good for most industries. Google themselves regularly offer training phone calls, but beware of cold calls from companies representing google. These are just agencies. Google calls are pretty good and usually offer excellent ways to optimise your budget.
In terms of a guide...
Dropshipping can be useful, but be aware that margins are usually painfully thin. Having been involved with DS for many years, the biggest issue is with stock. Unless the supplier is updating you at least daily with fast moving products, there will be times, when you can fulfil the order.
If...
Sorry to slightly hijack this thread. What's the status with .uk's these days. I'm planning a UK focussed business and can get either a generic name or a keyword stuffed one for .com, .co.uk and .uk. I was led to believe that eventually .co.uk would be old hat and .uk would get similar seo...
Thanks for the all the replies above. I think I'm trying too hard to keep initial costs down and keeping things simple, rather than looking at the bigger picture. I can hardly act like a decent business and deal B2B without VAT. So I think it's a day one job and an expense worth incurring.
Hi Guys
Sorry if this question has already been asked, but my searching around this site, didn't quite answer it.
Let's say that I have a supplier of widgets and they offer me a 25% discount of list price.
Widget RRP/List £100 + VAT so £120.
Cost into my non-registered business is £100 less...
