Last May I took on a shop. I signed the contract and everything seemed fine. My first rent was more than i thought so I queried it. I was told it was the VAT. Every month I queried where it said i would be charged VAT on my rent.
Last November the shop was...
Slightly the same. I have an alternative shop, while serving one day I asked a couple who were browsing if they would like a drink as the kettle had just boiled. Thought they would take longer to look and therefore potentially more sales. This worked for them so i started offering others. The...
my apologies if this has already been covered.
I have a bricks and morter shop in which i sell alternative clothing and goods. The majority of these items come from Nepal. Now my shop is ticking along nothing outstanding. I am toying with the idea of going direct and ordering as a wholesaler...
Hello everyone and what a wonderful site. I'm still trying to work out how

There are plenty listed on ebay and...
I had mine end of last year. It is easy to to like you say. Just another form filling exercise.
I too put them in an envelope at the end of the month and file them.
My advice to you, depending on what you are selling is, to buy little and see where you are going. Retail moves in myserious ways. If you kit your shop out fully with furniture then theres no room to improve or add on.
Just get basics for now and let your shop evolve.
