I think it depends on what your terms & conditioins state about cancelation. You are not under any obligation to accept an order but once you do then you are tied by the terms and conditions of the contract - which are usually your terms and condition of sale. If they give you the right to...
Clearly define what is meant by the product must be returned in a resalable condition. Last time I looked, customers could cancel their order for any time up to 7 days from receipt of goods and return for a full refund. The goods needed to be returned in a resalable condition. However there was...
Depends on what you mean by something a bit "slicker". Are you just looking for something which is cosmetically appealing or do you want some sort of functinality which you can't get from Zencart?
You do build the site youself. How hard this is depends on what you want to do. I have have run many Actinic sites for years without any real difficulty. What sort of number of products are you likely to have in your online shop?

Try Actinic. They have some software which does both web sales and EPOS. I only have experience of the web sales side and would be quite happy to help you with that but can't offer any advice on the EPOS as I've never seen it I'm just aware that it exists.

I did one a few years ago with the OU. It was very good. I agreed with my employed that I would pay half and they paid half. The demonstrated commitment from me rather than just taking advantage of them been prepared to pay for it. I got moved up onto the Board of the company involved and my pay...
I have a site which I set up for someone who was going to sell blood pressure monitors online. The idea was I would run and market the site and he was going to supply the monitors. He has dropped out which has left me with a site which could be selling these but without a supplier. So, I am...
If you have settled all you debts and disposed of your assets then as far as I know you can just apply for the company to be deleted from the register. My understanding was that it is quite a straightforward process.
I agree. I am a former marketing manager who has gradually moved more and more into the ecommerce area. A few months ago I went self employed, my concept is to offer search marketing services from the perspective of a marketing manager rather than as a web designer or a techy. So far I have had...
I agree with you. I think my basic point is that I have never seen ads at the top of the natural listings on their own. I have seen plenty of results where they are on the right with no ads on the top but I don't recall any on the top with none on the right. When I get a set of search results...
I think the answer is quite simple. Adds appear on the right of the screen. When there are enough ads for a particluar search phrase then they appear on the top as well. This means that Google can show an additional 3 ads on the screen. Where you rank in adwords is related to your quality score...
OK thanks. Another question then. If I end up in a situation where I owe £5000 in tax on sole traders profits, I understand that in my first year I will have to pay the £5000 and also 50% of this as well as a forward payment on next years tax so I actually have to pay £7500. What then happens...
I am refering to profit. I know that you are liable for VAT as soon as the invoice is issued unless you are on the cash accounting scheme and I know that for a Ltd company the liability arises when the invoice is issued, I just wondered what the situation for a sole trader is? As tax is done...
