I have worked in VAT for 40 years, since being in HMCE (as it was then called), then several years working for Lawdata Ltd, a legal firm.
In 1994 I started as a freelance VAT Consultant. Latterly I was joined by a business partner, who has now bought me out of the business. I currently work very-part time in semi-retirement, advising a few 'hand picked' clients, plus some technical writing.
