    Thanks for that. There is no wall above which is a good sign, and the upstairs floorboards are at right angles to it. Also, the wall doesn't run the width of the house. Looks hopefull.

    Is it the total at the bottom of your column E that is not displaying? If so I usually use =SUM(E3:E11) in the cell you want to display your total. You can change the values inside the brackets to whatever you need. The example here will add up everything from E3 to E11 inclusive.

    I wonder why they wouldn't tell you who owned it, sounds a bit fishy. Perhaps there are still places in any of the council owned business centres? I know there is one at the top of the Ouseburn but don't know of any others. At least you know where you are with the council.
