There are already plenty of offerings in the market doing this for small businesses. Heck even mobile coffee/snack vans have them now.
What you *could* do though is find say the top 10 solution providers then see if they are on trustpilot and go through the 1 and 2 star reviews to see if there...
Exactly my thinking. Second Life has been around for 2 decades and maybe it was ahead of its time but it never took off massively and just about exists for a niche that are into it. So Zuck had a peek into how viable something like this is.
My own thoughts are he suffers from confirmation bias...
I don't think they're *becoming* more mainstream, if anything they were a new thing quite a few years ago now and are less popular. That said I'd agree with one of the other posts that in a way they should be more popular now that smartphones have qr scan built into the camera rather than...
Wanted to resurrect this as I wanted to know what happens if you don't pay back before year end?
Cant find anything online that mentions this. So my year end is Jan 31st, its now August so realistically will start repaying in September but using 9 month repayment I wont repay in full until May...
If its windows software as others have said you should be able to package it up as an installable executable. I used to write software in Delphi and used a free tool called inno setup which would create wizard based installers.

Create a landing page with mock-ups of what it will do, send to traffic to it and see if there is any interest. Too many software companies spend months/years building something, get to the end and realise they are solving a non-existent...
As others have said pick a niche and/or create a product that fits that niche.
I used to have a business doing bespoke software. It's hard because its intangible and the problem is that because you can create anything there is saying 'if your customer is everyone your customer is no-one'...
Dont see much of Duane (previously of Kashflow) anymore. Steve (Gibson) the PPC guru isn't around much nor Ray (Tin).
My activity was reasonably high but just got tired of it in recent years, just stick my head in occassionally.
Look into Siemens circuit thats a hosted platform which may do what you need.
Also there is Twilio which lets you do all sorts of things. Now both of these offerings have an API so whilst they may not do 100% of what you need if you are hiring a dev they aren't starting with a blank sheet of...
As fisicx says its extremely hard (and pretty pointless) to try and sell 'development services'.
Is there anything that you've built for a specific customer that you could 'productise' and therefore sell to similar businesses in the same vertical?
I used to do bespoke software and I...
