Hey all, I have been running my business by myself for a period of time but now have taken someone on. However most of my customers text my number, however I am usually tied up to deal with the enquiry so have to forward it over to my staff member. Is there a way I can give out a new number...

    VAT is killing me

I'm either not reading it right or am quite lost. If you are dealing with customers, are they not paying the vat at the moment? or is your profit margin based on the vat you supposedly charged them to your costs less vat? I'm not vat registered for the car parts so I'm paying vat on my costs and...

Do owners become like their houses...

Funny you should question that. The previous owners of my bungalow were man and girlfriend, not married like myself and partner aren't. He was a manager of a tyre company locally and I've strangely been approached by a tyre company as management too locally despite two failed positions due to...

Chance to get a retail unit

Thanks everyone for the invaluable opinions. I have decided against, there happens to be two motor parts shops closing locally and I think my heart was over ruling my mind as was sad to see a long term shop lose it's identity and no doubt join the death of the high streets and become a...

What would impress you in an interview?

I went into a retail management position by doing swot analysis on three local branches and did a threat analysis. I also downloaded the financial reports so I could quote figures and projections.

I think service over cost is my preferred method while it's fresh and growing. I have very little overhead thank god and looking at the site it allows virtual numbers and short codes so seems ideal. Thanks for the advice. Dave
