Thanks everyone for their input. Last year was around 7k on card. I can see this increasing as customers look to spread costs via interest free cards. I’m more used to b2b transactions via bank transfer.
I’ve had a brief look around and there were some options that looked great but the hidden...
I’m sure this has been discussed to death before but I couldnt find anything that matches.
I currently use sumup for taking card payments has always worked really well my current percentage is 1.95%. Most of my payments are Bacs but increasingly I find customers want to pay on card.
I’m low...
Thanks all for the input testing on the first identifies 6 problems. The second is giving a 10/10 score.
I haven’t got any pictures or branding on the email it’s just plain text
Currently not receiving any replies to emails I send customers this is after I’ve replied to an email they’ve sent either through a form on the website or directly to email address.
It seems from testing with family the emails I’m sending out are going straight into peoples spam box.
I’m...
For 15 off it’ll be worth laser cutting. The cost savings of punching are negligible compared to setup costs try a service like fractory instant quotes just upload drawing
For actual production punching would be the way to go if you’ve got 1000+ you could stamp that from coil in a progressive...
What sort of quantity are you looking at when putting into mass production this will really decide which way to make this would be best.
Your initial 15 off would be best just laser cut and folded as required
Yes I think you do need a formal account but once your signed up you can arrange collections whenever you need was lucky that my neighbour uses them a lot and could put me in touch with their account manager.
I use Fedex for most stuff haven’t had a parcel go missing as yet and always turns up next day probably sent around 100 parcels with them so low volume still got an account with them though.
I’m in a different trade and entirely workshop based (welding and fabrication work)
I was in a similar situation I kept on having loads of little repair jobs £20 here and there or customers just wanting to purchase a tiny bit of material . I also used to get loads of phone calls from people...
Currently waiting for some external toecap boots from William Lennon
Not tried them before but have heard really good reviews on them however the wait time for them to be made is quite long at present. They do a lot of traditional farming boots would have to keep them maintained to retain...
I’ve had a visit and several phone calls from hse wanting to speak to me and my employees (there are none) and check all COVID procedures, check I had ventilation and sanitizer etc.
Hi
my neighbour does cnc turning. I’ve also got a few contacts for milling etc depends what your parts need these are all based in the south west.
You can also use services like fractory where you can order online and then they will outsource to companies
Not used them yet but Cotel mouldings list custom moulding capability.
you could also use a sourcing website like quimtek or apple gate to find the suppliers you need.
Thanks everyone for their advice and the link. No one has specifically asked for a guarantee/warranty so far. They are quite a simple robust product and really the only thing that could go wrong is some of the components I buy in (hinges and latches) but these are very good quality. Most of my...
I operate as a sole trader and have a few products/services that I offer.
One of these is I build bespoke dog cages for vans and other vehicles mostly for dog walkers. I haven’t really advertised this so far with all my work coming from previous customers, usually I do one and then I get...
