    Best thing to do?

Sounds like a business ripe for expansion to me - why are you reluctant to scale up (if you don't mind me asking)?

    Registering my business name

You do not need to a register a company to start trading - you simply run your business as a soletrader and use a trading name. Whilst your business is small, it usually makes sense to remain as a soletrader, but there will be a point when it might make sense to setup a company for various...

    Start up

Have you tried Angelsden? They are a professional outfit who will get your business summary/plan in front of lots of people. Looking at your web site, I think your main problem is the sector you are operating in. Nobody is touching property at the moment. You need to have a compelling reason...

    Mailshot Addressees

Can you call them up and ask to speak to the Manager to find out their name? Any other way of finding out the info? If anything is not addressed to me personally it goes in the bin.

Business idea - what to do

As the previous poster has said, another company trying to fill a niche is a good sign that there is demand for your product/service. Assuming you can do it better (better web site, customer service, pricing, etc.), why not go for it? If you want to provide some more details of what you are...

    Green Post

Interesting post - I agree that a lot of new technologies and processes are actually MORE energy intensive that their older counterparts. In this case, however, I do think there are some serious environmental advantages, the most obvious one being the removal of hundreds of thousands of road...

    Green Post

I posted in the general business forum about a new service called Viapost (no connection, etc.) and didn't get any response. From a carbon footprint perspective it is awesome - might be worth a look as part of cost-saving/green CSR initiatives? Site is at viapost.com

    Who wants an easier life???!!!!!

I'm not sure I understand the product - why can't I just use a bottom sheet, top sheet and duvet, which is what I do at the moment. Whilst sleeping I am only in contact with the top and bottom sheet which minimises the need to wash the duvet.

    VAT on postage (again!)

Thanks both - am tempted to use Viapost (I started another thread on this) as they'll charge only 27p + VAT to send out an A4 flyer which includes everything. What do you reckon?
