I'm just looking into this now and also using FreeAgent, I've emailed my accountant to check this is the best way to do it and actually it is fairly simple.
eBay report for manage payments gives you:-
Date of Transaction
Payout Date
Gross Total
Final Value Fee - Fixed
Final Value Fee - Variable...
Really, that's what I would prefer - but my fear is that all of my competitors for example on eBay do the drop down options rather than quantity discounts...... so its a concern that if that's the norm then my listing could look different or more expensive.....
But in order to do the variation...
I'm in the process of choosing a website platform e.g. woocommerce but whilst researching I'm stuck to find which might be able to handle this better.
For example, a lot of my competitors will have 'Product A' with a dropdown menu 'Pack Size' so you can select for example Pack of 25, 50, 100
I...
The SKU will only be used internally and for pick/pack each item will have a Location number assigned and each product will have a label with barcode and sku. When processing orders, the shipment label won't print unless they correct product barcode is scanned.
Bit of a basic question, very much overthinking.
I'm in the process of compiling a database of all of my products, one of the ranges of products has many different variations and I'm trying to figure if I should have detailed but potentially complicated SKU or Simple but less detailed.
For...
Do any of you also take telephone sales and sales from walk-in customers? Any recommendations for a complete setup e.g. Recording the sales, pos, linking into the stock/order management software.
I don't think its essential but I think it would be useful to monitor customer buying patterns, products they commonly buy. It also then makes it easier if they phone I could pull up their history while they are on the phone etc.
Thank you all for your great replies. I will contact a few local firms and a couple online, taking into consideration all of the points above. I guess the key thing is to compile a list of questions that relate to my business model including things that may affect me in the future and see what...
Thanks for the replies. I'm still looking at options, thanks for suggesting despatch cloud, Solly.
Something I have just thought of is a system that already has or can integrate with a CRM that could merge customer accounts from different platforms for example, if a customers buys from my on...
Sorry if this question is sort of a repeat....
In the past I have used Linnworks but this was before they went cloud based. I am looking for an all-in-one software that can manage orders and inventory from multiple sales channels.
Most of my sales will be via eBay but I will also have...
Hi,
In the past I have always done my own accounts as a sole trader. I have started a new limited business and would like to appoint an accountant.
Having never used an accountant before and although it may sound trivial, how do you know you have the right accountant?
Should I choose someone...
(title should obviously be Threshold.)
Hi,
I was just wondering about the time period relating to reaching the threshold.
For example if I start trading In January 2018 as a sole trader and don't reach £85k turnover before April 5 2018. Does the £0-£85k restart from April 6th 2018 to April...
I don't know how extreme your designs are, but have you considered offering a lucky dip? I don't know the market or what your price range is, but you could offer lucky dip packs of 10? One thing that will help you with is clearing stock. It might add some excitement, but on the other hand I...
I get what you are saying and I realise a guarantee is the only option - was worth asking the question.
For this kind of situation - taking over a company - what advise, if any would you give. As mentioned before there's a lot to discuss, regarding stock, goodwill, debt etc. It might be a case...
I fully understand what you are saying. The company has been trading for around 6 years, but I guess with the guy being self employed and us taking over it may well be considered a start up.
Of course, why would anyone lend money without a guarantee (I wouldn't want to) and yes I should be...
