Hi All,
I want to register a text-only brand name (lets say: ABC). When I search the registry, I find out that ABC is registered under class 35 (which is the type of trademark class i'm interested in), but the trademark contains ABC+foreign alphabet characters, so its registered as a...
Hello everyone. Can you please tell me your thoughts about this question;
Suppose that I do not want to pay any type of NI (whether its contributions/deductions, or class 1,2,3,4), as the sole director of a company (no employees). I do not care about paying higher income tax, but I do not wish...
Even if there is absolutely no income, would you say that a director may still be asked to complete a SA just because he/she is a director ? I mean no income from anywhere (no income from company or any type of work, or nothing to tax like inheritance etc... someone who lives without earning...
Hello everyone. I have two scenarios of which I'm curious about your answers.
1) Would you advice me to complete self assessment, if I had a company, but regardless of the company profits, I do not receive any dividends or salary ? So basically, just keeping the money in the business account...
@fisicx @Pi Daybooks If there is no likelihood of confusion with other brand owners, do you think the IPO may still reject my application due to my own brand that I registered before? I thought; as long as brand owner is same, its possible to register similar looking brands.
@WaveJumper @Pi Daybooks @Gyumri I wont object to my own application but I am just considering to register a new trademark which looks very similar to the one I registered before. For example; a brand named as ABC, and another name which looks exactly same with minor additions like "ABC bags"...
Hi All
Can I go ahead with applying to register a trademark, which is similar to the other one I registered previously ? Both of them will be owned by myself but I am questioning about whether my second application can be rejected when my application isnt examined carefully (I assume its ok to...
@Newchodge Yes, I am bit exploring the idea for a while, as I have no clue. When the company begin to stand on its own legs, I will.
@Scalloway useful link, thank you!
@NickZ Yes I do, and actually it'll be hiring either myself or a director, so that we wont have to go through the most of the...
Hello everyone.
I previously asked about how to close a company "aesthetically", so that the company doesnt owe money to any person or entity.
As I understand from your comments, these are the ways / suggestions one can follow;
1) To close the company "aesthetically", as @eteb3 mentioned, it...
@Scalloway @B2 Bookkeeper Thank you for your detailed replies.
@Scalloway Do you know whether the initial capital must be paid as a loan given to the company (such as directors loan) ? Or is there an alternative; such as a deposit made under a different name like "gift"? (I am trying to...
I am planning to hire a person and I have been searching about the process for some time. My question is who can help me about all of the steps necessary ?
Should I ask from an accountant, or is there another profession who deals with hiring a person, from start to finish (entering their...
@Newchodge If HMRC couldn't care less if the company owes money to me, why its said that the company must pay all its loans before its closure ? Isnt there a regulation like this?
And, Is there an official way to personally, write off the money company owes to me? I mean should I write some...
@Newchodge @fisicx Am I understanding you correctly; If I say that the company doesnt owe me any money, then, thats it. I guess the hmrc for example, wouldnt question about whether the company actually paid its loan to me, unless I am concerned about it (take legal action etc).
@japancool Isnt it normal trying to find a way which may lead to a better image for your company on a website which is available to the public ? Banks etc all check online to find out your activities, and try to use it as an excuse to prove their arguments.
@Newchodge @fisicx Dont I need to send money to myself, and provide proof of it (such as paying from company's business account), even though its symbolic (I mean I dont mind whether company pays this money to me or not) ? I thought that its requirement for the company to actually earn money...
