Will do Gavin. Signed and returned it notwithstanding all the implied threats within. Many thanks.

Director's Redundancy Claim & National Minimum Wage challenge

Many thanks Lisa and kulture. I was probably worrying too much about the legal wording on the form. Good point about directors not being subject to NMW so therefore not a risk of falling foul. I have managed to speak to my IP and have signed and sent the form back so fingers crossed. Thanks again.

Director's Redundancy Claim & National Minimum Wage challenge

This query relates to company insolvency and the director's redundancy claim service (RPS). I am the sole remaining director of a tech company that ceased trading last July, a CVL was begun with an insolvency practitioner who eventually instigated winding up proceedings mid-December last. Their...

    Confirmation Statement: Non-UK residential address

Sorry I should have been clearer in my original question. It's in the section PSCs - Persons having Significant Control - which in addition to the company registered service address, has a section where PSCs are required to enter their residential address on the CH form. I don't think it gets...

    Confirmation Statement: Non-UK residential address

I need to file my annual Confirmation Statement with Companies House but no longer have a private residential address in the UK, although the company registered (service address) is. I am now resident in another country within the EU. Is it permissible to add my new non-UK address as my...

    Sole Director Purchasing Company IP

Fabulous! Thanks for clarifying that Hughj. I've drawn up and signed (twice) the Assignment of Intellectual Property Agreement and paid the consideration sum to the Company, so I'll just sit on the document until anyone asks for it! Thanks again.

    Sole Director Purchasing Company IP

Many thanks Hughj11. Thats good to know. If I understand you correctly, whereas the transfer of ownership of Trademarks or Patents require a TM16 or Form 21 respectively (neither of which apply to my software and associated designs - only the copyright ownership), there is no required UKIPO...

    Sole Director Purchasing Company IP

That's kind of what I thought but thank you for confirming it for me. I purchased all the other shares back from previous director / shareholders several years ago, leaving only one previous director holding just 3% of class C - non-voting (sleeping partner) shares. Had no contact with him for...

    Sole Director Purchasing Company IP

I am the only remaining director of a UK Ltd company needing to purchase the software IP and all associated rights from the company for my own use. There are now no other licensed users (customers) of the software and no-one else has any claim to it. The company has no current revenues and will...

    SME Bookkeeper Responsibilities

Yes, thanks. Others have questioned why we have different accountants and bookkeepers. Its for historical and other reasons: Our accountant is a top city firm we rely on for high end strategic advice plus year end accounts, and our designated partner there is a personal close friend for 20+...

    SME Bookkeeper Responsibilities

Thanks. Yes I guess its a case of drawing up a chart of tasks and responsibilities for each involved party to sign up to. I think the problem has arisen due to all the *new* requirements that the government keep throwing at us. Workplace Pensions, MTD and PSC returns are additional burdens...

    SME Bookkeeper Responsibilities

We have an chartered accountant firm and a part time bookkeeping company who do our annual accounts and monthly/quarterly bookkeeping, essentially both paid monthly on long term retainers. However I'm increasingly finding that the bookkeepers are not being proactive in reminding us of upcoming...

Can I challenge my office Rateable Value based on reduction of facilities?

The leased offices we have occupied last 11 years have been bought by a new landlord who is failing to maintain the property in full working order. Specifically the only lift has been out of service for 5 months and the landlord is refusing to repair or replace it. Our office is on the top (3rd)...

Our Landlord Denies being our Landlord

Thanks Cyndy - got it. I've found the pension fund annual report and all the names on the committee. Ironically the Chairperson is titled 'Independent Chair of...' Lol, sounds like ways to avoid actual responsibility! There are other names though, and links to constitutional stuff saying they...
