what i don't get is..WHY THE HELL ARE PEOPLE STILL TRYING TO GET TO MEXICO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because Mexico is a big place with a population of 110,000,000 people, there have been only 343 confirmed (and 2,500 suspected) cases of swine 'flu there, and most of those cases are from a particular region. It's like saying there are 300 cases of the plague in the London area and asking why people are still flying to Scotland.

I can't find the source but I read yesterday that there are about 130 deaths a week due to respiratory failure in Mexico City alone.
I also believe that this strain loses it's transmission potential very rapidly, down to about 10% in two generations.

Perspective needed?

Just heard on the radio news - only about 100 cases now in Mexico are confirmed and they do not think it is as bad as first thought.

I wonder what we will have to worry / panic about next week.

i think there are 100 lines which are on back order at the moment, and we are yet to have a confirmed case in wales as yet
