Tried to post a reply to a existing thread that had been moved into the UKBF offers sub forum.

I get

ken_uk, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

If these forums are for paid up members only to reply to, then why have them in the public area? Or is it a permissions problem somewhere?

I am having the same problem but it appears that some people ARE able to reply. A post made yesterday for example has a reply, and one on the 17th has 11.

If we're not allowed to reply to offers then what is the point in having an offers section in the first place? :|

Maybe Im missing something here, but that thread you refer to does not explain the point at all.

I have posted a few times now the same point, some members *CAN* reply, and some *CANT* reply, it is not limited as mentioned in that thread

So the offers section has been amended to work as follows;

Posts in the offers section do not count towards your post cost.
No-one can reply to posts in the offers section, not even the one who started the post.
All posts in the offers section require moderator approval before they are displayed on the forum.

as fully paid members can reply at will to posts, but non members cannot.

There was even a instance where a thread was moved from the 'free' forums to the offers forum resulting in only paid up members being able to post to the remainder of a running thread.
