Elevating Taste: Rasool Limited Launches in the UK with Himalayan Salt, Basmati Rice & Fine Seasonings.

Hello everyone,

We have recently launched Rasool Limited a UK-based import/export company focused on premium Himalayan pink salt, basmati rice, and specialty food ingredients. Our aim is to make it easier for small businesses, restaurants, and wellness brands to get quality products without the hassle of importing directly.

We are looking to support chefs, food brands, wellness shops, restaurants, catering services, and small retailers across the UK with trusted ingredients. From your experience, what are the challenges you face when it comes to finding good ingredients locally?

If you would like to know more about our vision, you can check our website

Thanks for any feedback!

Plain language would help you. When you say "support" what does that mean? Does it mean supply? When you say "easier" what does that mean? Is it particularly difficult for restaurants and food manufacturers to get these products at present? Surely there are wholesalers of these ingredients out there at present. Why should customers come to you, rather than use their present suppliers, or are you offering to supply ingredients that are not presently available in the UK?

As @Gecko001 says, there are already a lot of wholesalers offering these product - many still using the time-honoured method of doorbanging, tastings etc

It's very rare for a restaurant to directly import.

Who is your target customer?

Why should they use you rather than the others?

As an aside, restauranteurs seldom hang out on business forums

Thank you for the thoughtful question that is a fair point and I really appreciate the chance to clarify.

By “support,” we mean supplying products in a more personalized and reliable way mainly focusing on consistency and traceability that many wholesalers can not always provide. For example, we work directly with verified producers and mills, manage quality control from source to delivery, and can also customize packaging or private labels for brands and chefs who want their own identity on the product.

our focus is on transparency, sourcing integrity, and partnership. Many small businesses and restaurants often struggle with inconsistent supply, unclear origin, or limited minimum order flexibility. We are here to make that process smoother and more dependable.

You are right , most restaurants do not import directly. Our focus is mainly on local distributors, small retailers, and wellness brands that prefer to buy within the UK but still want trusted, high quality products with clear sourcing.

We are basically trying to make it easier for them to get consistent, genuine ingredients without dealing with the hassle of overseas orders or big minimum quantities and true restaurant owners are not always on forums like this, but it is a good way to learn what people in the food trade actually value.

Id strongly recommend getting out there and talking to them - with a few samples

Yes, we are already working on getting out there with samples and connecting directly with potential customers. We are also streamlining our purchasing process and keeping our own UK based inventory, so we can offer more flexible MOQs and faster delivery.

Thanks a lot for the advice.
