Set up a company and be self-employed

I wanted to know if I can set up a LTD company and also be self-employed.

The company is for a side project and has nothing to do with what I do self-employed-wise. LTD won't be paying me a wage either, just dividends.

No issue doing this - but be pedantic that your recording and invoicing in and out clearly states which entity they refer to.
If you are unfortunate enough to get a tax investigation they will be looking for you diverting payments either way through the other entity as a potential tax dodge which would give your accountant a stack more work and cost you a lot more.
