Building a new website, well having one built!

Keen to try and get Google onside, for some of those all illusive rankings!

Do the menu structure and page titles need to be the same, is there any detriment if they aren't?

Some examples of url's, the bit in italics would be the page titles and the menu title. I'm thinking the bit in italics would be too long to use in the menu structure?

mysite/single storey extensions/front extension to make a porch and a larger lounge

mysite/single storey extensions/kitchen extension to the side of the property

mysite/loft conversions/hip to gable roof conversion with a dormer to a bungalow

No, the menu structure and page titles do not need to be the same but it does help if the words used in both have a degree of relevance to each other.

Have you done any keyword research and if so, what was it?

Keyword research coming out of my ears!

Read your course back to front at least a dozen times, over the past few months. Very good it is too!
Not keen on Majestic or the google adwords tool, although I have paid for majestic and do take it on board, more a fan of SEM Rush. SEO is not the goal, too vague for what I want. The purpose of the site is a well constructed, large, optimized portfolio, it's solely to back up a well thought out adwords campaign.

I have not yet found a solution to drive my local niche, to pick up the phone and talk to me via seo. Unless you have a solution? It's adwords for me.

I don't even know your website so on that basis alone I don't have a solution but you said this in your original post...
"Keen to try and get Google onside, for some of those all illusive rankings!"
and then this in your last reply...
"SEO is not the goal, too vague for what I want"

I obviously misunderstood your original question, apologies I thought it was SEO advice you were after. Steve (you know who I mean) is the best guy I know at Adwords, maybe give him a try if it's Adwords advice you're after?

You're in my SEO course so I'm more than happy to chat over the phone and see if I can be of any help, drop me a PM if you're interested, it's part of the service.

Thank you Ray.
My original question was misleading, I am struggling to convey the message of what I want to achieve. It's easier to say SEO, than try and explain why I want to use adwords. The world of online marketing seems to be obsessed with seo and social media, neither of which is any use to me, but both have a role to play as backing to an adwords campaign and the goal of getting people to call me.

I'm too small beans for Steve, he sacked me years ago. Either that or I'm too much for a sensitive scotsman! :)

Its the reality that most of the marketers are obsessed with seo and social media because they want to maximize their output as much as possible and also along with adwords.
