Can you tell which shopping cart is used on a site just by looking at it?

As per the question really, I just wondered if all shopping carts are pretty generic or whether some stand out and you can see who they're from straight away?
Would you say all diy shop building packages tend to go for the same cart, I'm just curious to know which cart my site uses (I know I could email my site support but it seems a bit petty).
I know I had issues with 'do your own site' a couple of weeks back but it's now been sorted, I now have Secpay - which is fantastic - and the tech director has even upgraded the postal options at my request - for the money - £17 a month, I really don't think you can get a better package.:) I just wish that I was on commission for the amount of people I've recommended to use it.:p

Definitely not. Its a mix of bespoke custom made by themselves, custom versions of popular packages, and standard commercial systems. To get you started, here's a list of what I think the current situation is (I could be wrong with some of the bespoke ones):

ekmpowershop, bespoke
easywebstore, bespoke
123-reg instant site ecommerce, swsoft sitebuilder
heartinternet ecommerce, swsoft sitebuilder
hosted.co.uk ecommerce, swsoft sitebuilder
uk2.net ecommerce, pinnacle cart
mrsite, bespoke using paypal basket
1and1 eshop, bespoke
BT eshop, bespoke
rentacart, custom version of Zencart
do you own site, bespoke

I wouldn't class our ecommerce service as DIY, since we set up the initial design for clients, do a lot of handholding and provide a lot of advice, but our service is based on our custom version of osCommerce, which is embedded into a section of a website built using our own bespoke sitebuilder/content management system.

We tend to use oscomemrce a lot due to it's ease of use for customers and the amount of support available to it. It's design is very much similar to zen cart which is based of oscommerce. If I saw a site designed by either of these i'd know straight away. Even those that have been modified a lot tend to show signs. Most other carts are less obvious though.
