Hi,

Until last few month, everything was just fine, ranking in 1st google page wasn't so hard if you know what you do. Meanwhile, nothing works anymore, same seo strategy, same niches, same platform (wp), different websites. I can't explain why my last websites can't grow anymore. Ok, it was an aglorithm update (or more) but there's more than 4 months since nothing is changed.

This is happened in .ro, so i'm asking you, happened the same to someone on .uk ?

thanks!

This same happened in .pl , about 5 month ago I noticed that my old algorithm, do not work anymore. I knew, that some serious change was made, and I was right.

To be 100% honest, I was expecting for this piece of change since 2007 when Matt Cuts in a very short interview said few words something about algorithm changes in future, and after 8 years Google decided to do it.

What I predict is - game over for many of SEO.

I know its sounds like some random mush without giving specifics, but I'm very sorry, I couldn't share with anyone my highest valued skills.

All I can say, SEO works better than ever, and is a very rare skill, and answering your question - Google care about SEO more than ever.

If you are very inquisitive, chances are that you manage to figure out a new factor in the Google algorithm. Just don't give up and test your best ideas, if you hit one, you'll be we very successful with an SEO because of lack of competition.

seo isn't something to share, agree with that. I do seo for many years, hundred of websites are ranking in top.
If it was a major change of algorithms and if you do seo "right" but google don't like it anymore, could be a major problem world wide, not a particulary case.
will see :)

Obviously I forgot to mention I did few tests I figured out new Google algorithm. The most funny part is, it's much easier for me to rank no 1 than before.

That is why i decided to swap my targeted market to more profitable, from PL to UK.

Google encourages ethical SEO. They have their own guide about it.

As Marek says, it's just become so much more complex and a lot of SEOs aren't keeping up with it.

It's a very different environment to just a few years ago but it's not impossible.

Google still wants to rank the best websites and even though it doesn't always get it right, if you give it what it wants, in a way that you'd be happy for a member of their quality team to review, then it's very possible to rank well.

It's a dynamic environment and you need to adapt to the latest changes and ranking signals.

I also noticed some subtle but important changes (in google.com and .co.uk) last autumn. It didn't affect my long term sites / strategy, but for my short / medium term ventures I had to rethink my approach a bit.

After a month or so I had it down and dialed in, and now I can rank at the top of page 1 just as quickly as before, if not faster. WP or HTML, it doesn't matter.

No secret sauce, still just good ol' links and solid onpage optimisation, but a more refined approach seems to be the order of the day.

The way I see your situation is that you're in a niche that you know you can rank (because you've done it before), so either your strategy needs to be refined, or it doesn't work anymore and you need to look for a new one.

I'd start with testing variations of your approach that used to work, and if you don't get any luck, then just go back to the beginning - look at sites that are ranking across various different niches and analyze what they're doing differently to you. The answers are always there if you look hard enough for them.

I wouldn't say it better if I could only fully express myself in english
