Hi James - if you're intending forwarding calls from the local number to your mobile check the call costs first. You'll probably be looking at up to10p per minute. Doesn't sound like much but depends on your volume of calls. If you're a high volume inbound call business expect some big bills. Why not forward to a landline? Or go with an 0844 number as some providers will forward these to mobiles for free.

Thanks for the replies,

I decided to take the plunge with Tamar Telecoms and its only been a couple of days but so far pretty impressed with their customer service and the fee includes a 1000 diversion minutes which should be enough for the time being and I am not locked in to a contract, and can up my package if I need to in future months. They called me when it was setup to test the line and everything has run smooth lets hope it continues. The only draw back I have found is you cant call out from the number but it is still a good alternative.

Best Regards,
James

Hello James,

I use Switchboard Free .co .uk , costs about £6 a month, then i just top the account up when its low and it redirects to my mobile.

The main reason i use it is because i can have a greeting for the customer, play on hold music, i can link it with google analytics so i can see how many calls i have had etc, and i can control it all from a app from my mobile, When im in the office it automatically knows so it diverts to the office phone for free.

Worth a look.
