Hello folks,
I'm thinking of building a 48 sheet billboard in Central London. Does anybody have experience in this? What are the pitfalls etc. and what is the average budget?

Many thanks to everyone

We sell electronic LED billboards! Think of it as just like a giant TV - much better than a static ad!

Also offer nation wide fitting and service contracts.

LED screen not cheap to buy but you can sell billboard space for £2k plus per week if your in a good position!!!

For just the LED screen 20FT Wide X 10FT High - excluding survey and fitting you are looking at somewhere in the region of around £38k for a P16 screen or £47K for a P10 screen excluding VAT. Screens are super bright RGB screens and not lower cost and lower brightness SMD (single multiple diode) screens. This is for a fully waterproof IP65 rated screen, for outside use screen must be IP65. Our outdoor IP 65 screens have fully cast aluminium backs as this makes them light weight. Beware - many LED screens on offer are only IP65 rated on the front of the screen and not the back! For outdoor use you screen must be RGB.

Price includes 12months onsite ground level only warranty (ground level warranty means that you will have to pay for any cherry picker or crane type lifts if required if the screen is being raised up on the side of a building)

Your screen includes everything required (except a phone line) for you to operate your screen remotely. You can change the adverts on your screen in real time using the software we provide. It is possible to use a £G mobile broadband connection but we really do not recommend this solution - a phone line is quicker and far more reliable. We also provide a system that anonymously detects how many people are looking at the screen - it is totally anonymous, it can detect between mail and female and an approximate age of the person viewing the screen and how long they view the screen for. This is a huge selling point to advertisers. This software can send updates every half hour to either your or the actual advertiser, this level of updates requires a phone line rather than a 3G connection. This software is not written by us but we do offer it and include one year's service free of charge - chances are if you deal with advertising agencies this will be one of the first questions they will ask

The cost of the survey will be approximately £2,400 excluding VAT - this is more involved than just turning up and nodding at the building the screen will be mounted on. The survey involves a structural engineer and will carry out a series of tests to determine if the building is suitable for a mounted screen. A full survey normally takes around 6 hrs

Depending on survey results fitting will generally cost between £5k and £8k but price also depends greatly on the screen height from the ground.

The site owner will be responsible for getting a suitable power supply to the required location although our own electrician will do the final connection.

Obviously there is more to it than this but this is a general idea of cost. We can help with planning applications once a survey has been carried out. We are not able to use any surveyors other than our own as this would invalidate our insurance. Excluding council planning it can take up to 8 weeks to order and install a screen if it is to be mounted on to a building although we do keep P10and P16 screens in stock in quantity.

Hi Steve, Having trouble reaching you because I'm a new member. I'm interested in these LEDs you mention.
