OfficeHounds offers telephone answering and additional administrative services like appointment booking, recording customer data in CRM, or any administrative task you would expect a secretary or Personal Assistant to complete.

We can do more than just message taking, but we do use Answer to pick up calls if all of our lines are engaged or a 24 hour service is required. If you only require call answering, OfficeHounds can highly recommend Answer. We can't beat their prices, and we do recommend them for any company who only needs a message taking service. http://www.answer.co.uk/?refid=7CFLXH04C

If you would like your call handlers to gather and record information from the caller or take additional action from the call besides taking a message, OfficeHounds could be perfect for you.

As an example of our charges, for appointment booking, we charge £1.00 to handle the call and £2.00 to book the appointment in your electronic calendar. (Our current standard hourly rate for admin tasks is £20 per hour. £0.33 per minute. We estimate handling the call to take 10 minutes in total. 5 minutes on the phone and 5 minutes to update the calendar.)

We don't do contracts. Because we supply a phone line for you to divert your phones to, we do require £20 per month fee, and we ask customers to pre-pay for call answering services. We like our customers to always be in control and fully aware of how much they are spending on admin.

We offer a free one week trial. Please get in touch if you would like more information. 08432 891246 [email protected] Twitter @officehounds

Whats wrong with your mobile phone? That can be available 24hr/365days and you can field all the calls rather than just take a message. Does it for me.

There is nothing wrong with diverting your business line to your mobile phone. You are quite right that it's better to field the calls yourself first, but what happens when you are on the phone, in a meeting or on annual leave?

It's estimated that between 70 -80% of people will hang up if they reach voice mail instead of a live person. For a tradesmen like a heating engineer, missing a call from a potential new customer could mean losing out on a £2000 job. In this example, it's clearly worth paying £1 per message.

I believe that businesses should do what works. It's also always best to only spend on what adds value to your business. If diverting your business number to your mobile works for you, then there's nothing wrong with that.

Hi there, my name is Matthew Gibson and i work for a company called Answer-4u.

Answer-4u offer a truly pay as you go telephone answer service.

We have been trading since 2004 and our 3 directors have over 50 years combined in this industry.

Our services can be utilised either as an overspill contingency during the day or as out of hours cover during evenings and weekends. You decide how many, or how few calls we answer for you

Our service is fully UK - (Nottingham) based, and the service is 24/7, 365 as standard at no extra cost.

We do not charge any set up fees, monthly management fees and we only ever require 30 days notice to cancel.

We can provide something simple i.e. answer all calls in your company name, take the callers details and the message, then forward the message to you immediately by email and / or SMS for just 88p per call with NO hidden charges, or something more bespoke including call forwarding and fax to email.

Our entry level 888 service is the most cost effective answer service in the UK! In fact, it is the cheapest in the UK at only 88p per call with free email delivery![/font]

For more information please call anytime on either 0800 8 22 33 44 or 0115 966 8128

Thanks to the support shown for Answer.co.uk,
Have sent the OP a PM as requested
Just a comment on Sales Calls - the way we work is we provide bonus credit for deposits of £50 or more - this then covers the odd sales call someone may get - and if someone is persistent we simply put a special up to ask this caller to stop calling. I would be very reluctant to instruct our operators to never take a sales call because at somepoint an actual message is not going to be passed.
Thanks,
James
