LavoraMarketing.com

Oh they have put their prices up! It used to be £99 a month.

They just use adwords, they will allow you a choice of 'selected' phrases, and they will then schedule your ads to appear on Google. They will then keep the difference between what it costs, and the £139 you pay them.

Not a con at all, not too good to be true, just economical with the truth!

maybe they will offer that, but if their own site is here today and gone tomorrow, you won't get top ranks for terms as competitive as those without paying thousands per year and even then you can expect rankings to drop dramatically from the moment you stop paying for their services

No Iam a mobile plant mechanic [not computer inclined] who has been tucked up by lavora, its an ongoing dispute which is proberly going to end up at court.I have had to close my bank account to stop them taking any more money as they set up a monthly card payment. Lavoramarketing will not accept that I cancelled in accordance with contract and have not sent written conformation even though they have addmitted receiving cancellation via email and recorded delivery letter.Iam not the only one ask trading standards.
If you want to look them up try whocallsme.com 01619242190/1

Avoid these like the plague, they are one of many companies who claim to be special Google Partners. They can become quite aggressive on the phone (especially when you let them talk for 20 minutes sounding interested only to then say your not interested :D)

They have called me 4 times to try and convince me they are special Google partners - I phoned Google up to ask them to stop calling me but they didn't know anything about Lavora Marketing  they do now :).

They simply charge you an extortionate amount for running adwords with 5 key phrases. We already run Google Adwords but still they wanted us to buy their service lol apparently "they can run it better than me".

My advice, steer clear and report them to Google :)

Lol... nice website there. They must have really p*ssed that guy off.

Google, I found a number on their website somewhere cant remember which one it was. Have a look on the adwords website theres a contact form there.

Tip for dealing with them: Tell them you are going to put them on hold whilst you call Google to verify they really are partners.. play them a little :)

Had another one today, apparently he was calling from the front page of Google :D

Would you waste your time calling on someone who has given you a definite NO before?
If any hardsell wazuck calls me now they've no chance, its a shame that outfits like lavoramarketing mess it up for genuine people in the same type of business, whatever trade they are in.
what are the figures? one happy customer tells on average three people, one unhappy customer on average tells twelve, it was something like that and that was before the internet! I'd like to know what they are today.

I've found that most get our details from yell.com.

Edit - just googled:

w w w. Lavora Marketing. c o m 1st Page Positions Guaranteed Over 5000 Clients Can't Be Wrong

So thats: 5000 x £99pm = £495000 x 12 months = £5,940,000

They basically will accept that you no longer require there service and threaten to just continue to take money from your account!

They will then say that if you take back your cancellation letter they will gaurantee that they will lower the cost and get more people to your site.

They have a separate team there that speciualises in talking you out leaving.

Advice-

* send a letter recorded delivery to cancel and keep a copy
* contact your bank asap and speak to the fruad department and tell them about this company wanting to withdraw an ILLEGAL payment
* Contact trading standards
* contact watchdog

if poss just don,t use this comapny at all

Avoid this company!!

I can only relay my own experience.

I agreed to a trial period following their claim to "save up to 70% off Google Advertising" and that we would be on the first page. I never received an email with terms or conditions but I did give them my debit card details. My ad was posted but when I compared rough costs and realised that this did not save me money, I requested that they substantiate their claims but no data was forthcoming. Despite writing to cancel they continued to illegally take money out against my debit card without my consent. I then cancelled my card to prevent this action and recieved a threatening letter...

I am somewhat annoyed by the practices of this company and feel compelled to warn others..... If only I read the forums...

Excellent stuff. SERPs karma in action :p

How do you report them to google?
They used to be Lavoratestsite before feb 2008, do you think its time for a name change soon as they seem to be getting bad press.Have a look at lavoramarketing.info/ now that is putting the knife in.

@VWP - Sorry to hear of your burning. It's scandalous that these sorts of companies continue to operate. I have seen it all to often.

Just had 10000th call from this number from the same rude and agressive chap who by the sound of it was desperate to sell something google related to anyone who would be silly enough to listen. He was trying to work the "listen to me you imbecile" sales approach, didnt sound surprised when it didnt work, just got himself wound up when I hanged up. Just a scam thats all, but annoying in its agressiveness

Hi all,

I actually wrote an article on these people a little while ago after a family member had a close call with them.

Anyone wishing to understand a little more about my opinion regarding their business should have a read. Have a look at 'Internet Marketing to Beware of' on w w w . seohowto . c o. u k
