www.acs-autotrader.com - is this a scam?

Currently have a car listed on Autotrader, just had a text message from the above offering close to the asking price, just go to website and enter a ref number!

I take it this is a scam to get your address or payment from you? PO box address on their website etc

Anyone had any dealings?

Registered by a US proxy company on the 8th of Jan 2014 - two days ago.

If not a scam then at least something you should be wary of, and tread cautiously.

Scam! I received a msg from exec-autotrader.com and asc-autotrader.com. The website works for short while then disappears.

I can't post the links to yahoo answer or the autotrader site on this msg but if you go to autotrader.co.uk just above where you sign in / register there is a safety advice.

a lot of these companies promise to 'take control' of the selling of your car for a fee of course.

if autotrader has .com and .co.uk why would it have any other website address?
