Why do you advertise on google adwords?

I'm just wondering the above - i done a search on google for 'UK Business Forum' and no1 was this fab forum.

I then noticed in the blue box an advert fro this site.

Why advertise when your number one after all?

I don't just advertise on PPC for that search term alone, but a range of terms.
In order to keep new members coming to this forum and new visitors all the time I re-invest the money earned from advertising on this forum back into advertising the forum itself.
