Symbian has been around forever and will be in use on around 90% of the mobile phones in the world.

...There's no contest, the Galaxy Nexus is the better phone even if purely for that reason.

I agree I would rather have a 'vanilla' Android than a branded one - but the reviews I have read still usually rate the S2 over the Nexus,

lol, after incorporating my company I decided to get a separate phone for business calls.

What phone did I buy?

A £10 phone in Tesco.

Why?

Reason 1) Less distraction.

Reason 2) Simpler phones have a good battery life (means I am more reliable in answering calls).

Reason 3) Simpler phones are more secure for my industrial secrets

another one if pay as you go is probably best on orange and i would suggest Blackberry if for business

after the problems last year everything seems to be more robust with RIm now.

No, common sense told me that after I spent many pre-iPhone and Android years using Symbian phones. They are terrible, unreliable, useless pieces of crap.

Okay, it is crap and dead for the moment. Nokia have released it as open source so you never know what the future holds. Personally I'm pleased with its downfall ... one less platform for me to support.

Yes, agree 100%, iPhone &Samsung are both great phones, but according to the report, iPhone 5 is disappointed, and Sumsung is gradually stronger. Samsung G Note II will land by mid-November, it's going to be a shock for the whole market. As a Samsung fan, i expect to that. Samsung is better in cost-effective.
