Are you looking to take someone on full time as a director within the company, or outsource to a part time Director? I can recommend someone who should be able to assist - feel free to dm me.

A competent finance director can deal with lenders and investors. As can a competent MD.

Alternatively there are consultants with specific experience.

What specific qualities/skills are you looking for to compliment your own?

What are you offering?
Hi Mark T Jones,
I'm just trying to understand the whole scenario. Right now I don't have requirement

Someone told me like Finance Directors basically looks after the big-picture money side of a business. They plan budgets, help the business grow, make sure everything’s legal and above board, and keep things running smoothly financially.

But I'm looking for some who can work with lenders and investors.

Given that your own website says that you provide a Virtual FD Service, should you not already know what one does?

No it does not mean just a job title, a Director is legally responsible for the running of a Ltd company and plc's etc. I suggest you look up a directors responsibilities https://www.gov.uk/guidance/your-duties-responsibilities-and-obligations-as-a-director
Wrong, and I didn't say it means just a job title. I said Director can be just a job title.

It is not a protected term like calling yourself a doctor, which requires a degree of some sort, whether medical, philosphical, religious, ....

If you say "company director" then that does have more specific meaning.

Yes, a Board director has those responsibilities. But there are many jobs using the word Director that do not mean they are Board director. A sales director, for example may just be in charge of sales.

So how do you identify who has the reasonability's that goes with the title, Does a sales director in your post, word mean the company accepts it as fact and any liabilities that go with his word and sales pitch
No. The only thing that matters is whether they are a member of the Board of Directors of the company. Otherwise it is just a word.

I worked for a fund which had more 'Associate' Directors than I had hot dinners always made me smile they loved passing out their business cards. As mentioned above Directors come in many guizes ie from Operations Director right through to those I loved the least the dreaded Marketing Director
