I have been on these forums under various guises, you might remember me better as easyasIT. As business i have long let go.
Still in the training profession though and offering online training which is the main crux of my business.

I have learned much from these forums and was even once a very brief moderate (dont ask!) but i think for me a bit reason i took a step back was it was taking over my life. Far too long being involved in (often heated) discussions). Its always good to return to when i have questions, otherwise being with FSB and such i get the help.
I was also a paying member for a while but could not really justify the ongoing expense. I think UKBF could be a lot more proactive than they are.
You were probably right to take them back from Sift, not sure exactly what they really did to improvie the platform.
Anyway welcome back, not saying i will be an ongoing contributor as i believe true business people do not have time to be so fully invested on platforms like these. Unless of course they are moving money from being here. Which i never did.

Oh yes one other good thing this place is for, i found my accountant and hosting company here. Both i still use to this day. So thanks for that.

    Hi ya AWA;
Good to see you back. Now I'm going to be quite controversial with your comments now :D

as i believe true business people do not have time to be so fully invested on platforms like these.
My immediate reaction here was; but isn't part of being good in business about improving the business community for all and supporting the next (metaphoric) generation of businesses come up...but then you said...
Oh yes one other good thing this place is for, i found my accountant and hosting company here. Both i still use to this day. So thanks for that.
....which immediately gave the most perfect reason for a true business person to take part in a business platform such as these ;)

A very good, well-measured, reply Ozzy, but I would add.
    Perhaps i should clarify.

These forums are useful if used for networking, gleaning business (or related) information, or perhaps looking for skills or advice.
Where i tended to drop off was when I often found myself too absorbed in non-business debate. Even being trolled. It became easier to unsubscribe then keep adding fuel to the fire.

That said, it did me a favour as it allowed me to focus back on more business related matters.

Finally, make no mistake, i still do a lot of work with the unemployed and direct these and new business startups here. It is a good resource..

I'm a big fan of the statement "don't feed the troll", sometimes I succumb and have to go and have a word with myself but generally the art of just ignore and not responding works .

    Well thank you kindly :)

Oh indeed, in fact i think it was indeed within these forums that i learned a lifelong adage that I still adopt to this day
"Never get into an argument with a fool, you will be dragged swiftly to their level and beaten by experience"
