Hi everyone

I'm trying to find a source/sources that can provide me with the correct content for the following, that would be cover my website and to my YouTube channel (in each case either in a single all-encompassing spiel that covers both website and channel (and in some cases products too), or separate ones if there is a need to be more specific):

Copyright/plagiarism statement: My approach to anyone trying to steal my work - branding, IP, content etc. I am considering taking out IP insurance (that covers this, and covers me the other way around - if I inadvertnetly infringe someone elses copyright) although have only found one company so far that I've managed to get to the point of quoting me for this insurance, so any ideas from anyone who's taken out such insurance and with which firms, would be very welcome.

Privacy/T&Cs/Cookies: As it says, this in general part of the policy for all of these items, plus, because I'd be offering advice on things like job-hunting (one example) I'll also need to cover the 'this advice is made at a set point in time based on XXX's knowledge and experience gained in their area of specialism and the market sectors in which they have worked; advice might change as jobs and recruiting processes change over time but the advice given may not be updated within certain content; this advice should be used as a guide and XXX accepts no responsibility for.....'.

Affiliate statement: The 'I may earn a commission for items purchased using the links on my website, within my YouTube channel, in my newsletter or within other marketing materials...'.

I also will be providing digital downloads (documents), some free some paid for, and need something that's appropriate, and applies to digital media. Templates someone might use themselves or use in their job. What's fair and appropriate to state as an approach for downloadable digital products? Obviously to include - see Copyright/Plagiarism Statement, also, this is the scope of usage that's ok, XXX is not liable for damages if you can't use the digital download in the way expected, modern virus protocols are employed but can't be held responsible for a virus yada yada, that sort of thing.

Any thoughts on where I can go for this - I've not really found very much out there but what I have found, there could definitely be gaps and I want these to be appropriately comprehensive.

Many thanks in advance.

As a starting point to get you going both these sites can provide the basics for you to get started and then fine tune as per your needs:

Termly has a good few different ones too. Either should get you going on the right path :)

It used to be that IP Insurance started at a minimum of £10K. This has come down in the last few years, but will still be at least £2,500 +.

There are a quite a few companies that will look at this, but unless you have the budget, its really wasting everyone's time.

I suggest you speak to an Independent Insurance Broker - they should be able to help with getting quotes.

Feel free to get in touch with me (contact details below).

Do you have an Office or Public Liability Business Insurance policy? If so, check your policy as many will include free legal advice and contract templates, which may have what you are looking for on the Privacy T&C's etc.

Thank you Frank - will have a look over the weekend. Yes, I do have both these insurances and will check with them to see if they have anything that I can use. Much appreciated.
