Just setting up my first website which will be the start of my new business. I am trying to find animation,gifs,jpegs,backgrounds and all the other bits and bobs. Can any of you old hands at this game recommend to me some site's that will allow me to download all the goodies? I hope to have the site up soon and will come back and find out what you think.

Flashkit.com has loads of cool animated movies, sound f/x and loops that people submit and are free to download. Some submissions request that you give the creator a credit on your site.

The easiest thing to do is go to google and search their images, check to see if you are allowed to use the image and then if you are do it, alternatively find the image and then ask the owner for permission, i do this and generally all the owner asks for is a link back to them

you need to clarify that you intend to modify it also
