VOIP Reselling.

I have been having a look at some VOIP reselling pacakges - does anyone have any experience and advice on this?

Is there any benefit to using a dedicated VOIP hosting company - or could skype do it all?

I mean signing us as a reseller for something like pack-net.

I can think of a few businesses who would benefit from switching to something like this for telecomms needs - especially to get IVR functionality.

Ok, so your talking hosted telephony solutions. There are many benefits to hosted telephony for the end user and you as a reseller.

Effectivelyfully hosted is another option to a modern day telephone system, they can both do more or less the same as each other.

Where hosted differs is you generally can start as little as a one user and add additional users by paying a monthly fee.

Features such as DDI, Voicemail, IVR, Remote mobile working , D&R ,each feature is charged to the customer on a monthly basis

You benefit from a monthly revenue stream EVERY month.

Its not to be taken lightly though there are a lot of pro's and cons

Hope this helps a little.

I am from a telecoms back ground and had a voice reseller business which i subsequently sold a couple of years ago. there are a number of things which you need to consider when setting up such a business.

I know pack net well and know Patrick the owner and founder.

the key areas are:
1 First level support - how are you going to deleiver this
2 Credit exposure
3 Installation and connectivity - are you providing these services. Voip is great but connectivity is king!

if you want any advice please drop me a mail and i will be more than happy to help and share experience

Using a dedicated VoIP hosting company is definitely beneficial since you do not have to deal with technical issues to set up your business communication channel. If you are looking for features such as IVR, then you reseller is not the type of package you require. You should try Hosted PBX services since all these smart calling features such as DID, IVR, ACD, and many other advanced features are available with Hosted PBX. I am currently using Hosted PBX service and I am using all these features.
