Reboot the PC and keep pressing F8 until you reach SAFE MODE. Choose to boot the PC with the minimum drivers etc (Option 1 on windows XP) and then re-run the AV scan. Norton should then be able to delete the files :wink:
Whereabouts is it reporting the virus has been found? If it's in the system restore area, that's quite a different matter. Your virus checker will probably have a detailed description of what to do, but consider disabling the system restore function in Windows before running a scan. (Suggest you make sure you have a good backup of your data before playing too much though.)
What viruses has norton found, Its not morphine bloodhound by any chance is it?
If so then this is not a virus, Norton thinks it is and therefore highlights it
There are some exe's that norton just seems to pick on for some reason
