Validating Local Business On Google

Hello, could anybody help.
Tryed to validate my business on google maps but it has only given me an option by doing it via a postcode (2-3 weeks).
Been doing a bit a research and i thought you could either do it by a text alert or by an automated land line phone call.
Does anybody know if google have changed their validation process or have i done somthing wrong?

I validated my wifes site using a telephone call from Google, which provided a authorisation code, and then entered that.

I validated mine a few weeks ago, and they rang my land line with a code, so i assume it's still the same process.

You have created 3 locations
You didnt need to do that.
You could have just added the locations.

Just so you know you can only create 3 listings on one number.
The account will end up merging.

Have you given them a UK landline number, complete with area code? (DO NOT KEY ANY SPACES INTO THE NUMBER YOU ENTER!) They should ring it and you get a computer woman telling you a pin number which you then key into google places.

If you use a mobile or 0845 number - it might not work....

He used the same numer on all 3
and no you wont get away with it.

I used the same number on 3, stupidist thing ive ever done i covered half of Birmingham with the original listing.

No dont, your listing will leave a ghost and that will clash.
