U.S Ecommerce customers

Hello all,

Our website seems to be attracting just over half its total traffic from the U.S??

Does anyone have any good tips, ideas or strategies how we can best convert these hits into sales?? Im not sure about converting prices into dollars etc.

Any advise from U.S customers who find UK sites have issues for them would be intersing too?

Pickup the visitors country and shift the currency/pricing and shipping accordingly does work

Ideally you'd really want to charge in US dollars. Not just show an exchange rate but process USD payments.

There isn't really much else conversion wise that is different from UK sales except the obvious shipping time and import tax issues.

Hi thanks for the responses.

Do I pay a U.S import charge? What rate is that at? , separate state taxes too?

We are a UK based company so not keen on looking like a U.S based project

Just add a currency into your product listing, thus, you will get the US customer easily.
