Trading as same name?

Hi

If you have traded as a sole trader under one name, the business closes for family reasons.
Can you open the same business as a sole trader using the same name?

In 2009 I opened a business named Emily Rose Lingerie, in 2012 following a death in the family the business had to close, I am now in a position I would like to restart the business again - Can I use the same name or best to start all over?

If you owned the earlier business I can't see why not.
