Team Building Marketing.

Good afternoon all,

I am hoping to glean some ideas/best practice from the wealth of experience this forum holds, so thanks in advance for anyone who takes the time to help out.

My wife is looking to add a different market to her 'paint your own pottery' (pyop) business, and is wanting to get into corporate team building, but we're at a little bit of a lose on which way we should try and get into it. Are there people on here who have been part of team building days, or organised them themselves? If so, what kind of thing was it you were looking to achieve from the activities?

We were thinking about 'teams' picking each others names from a hat for example and painting an item of pottery that described the person they picked. On reflection though we thought that may insight some unpleasant "painting" if people were to pick someone they were not keen on!

Also how would people advise contacting companies, as I personally loathe tele-callers and try as hard as possible to get rid of them straight away, but I also think email can sometimes be unpersonable when we are trying to help bring teams together! Any thoughts again, would be gratefully received.

There is more to team building than you are suggesting. Perhaps one way to move forward would be to offer your pottery workshop to a team building company to incorporate into their wider programme.
