Taking Credit Card Payments

Hi All
I ahve just started a business selling computer training that will involve taking credit payments over the phone. At the moment i have no such facility.
My business adviser put me in touch with Streamline. They charge rent for the device, plus commission on every transaction. Please tell me this is not the best deal out there.
I need also Internet transactions manually, so there is not much chance of someone entering in a Pin!

Does anyone have any ideas, advise?
