People keep referring to that thread, or the one that is referred to in that thread, *but* as far as I can see - It does not, and never has answered the question that I, this poster, and others have asked before.

I read the thread as

No-one can reply to posts in the offers section, not even the one who started the post.
Which is untrue, as fully paid up members can reply. People who have not paid, get the permissions screen popping up saying they cant reply.

Yet everytime its mentioned, we get reffered to a thread that does not clearly answer the question.

Even asking the question more than once, or using the report a post button to bring this to the attention of mods / admins (where in the report box I explain the thread does not answer the question) did not even get so much as a single response.

People can be forgiven for thinking it is this way on purpose, another trick to get people to pay up.......

Things like this that keep getting asked, not getting answered, seem odd.

The offers section should be closed to replies from all membership levels for the reasons given in the sticky at the top of the forum. It was also decided to be thus via a member poll so I fail to see how this could be deemed to be....

"this way on purpose, another trick to get people to pay up......."

However, it is clear that it is not working in this way and is being looked into. There is obviously a bug in it which needs fixing and is on the "to do" list. You must appreciate that this is an extremely busy forum and things have to be done on a priority basis.

Not odd, just unfortunate.

Hi all,

Now that we've got Paula on board as Community Manager, we really want to go right through all areas of UKBF and change any rules or processes that don't seem to work.

As Ray mentioned, it is a priority thing (I've got another 8 online business websites to look after too!), but we will make the changes that you feel are needed.

In addition to this, a whole new rules and policies section will be introduced, right down to the very last detail, meaning that the mods and admins can literally point to a specific rule in support of the open moderation that we're wanting to achieve.

Hope you're having good weekends - it's monsoon season in Bristol it seems!!! (Still, gave me an excuse to put the Christmas tree up!)
