SplashPlastic - a dodo?

Hi There,

Just relised your from www.sillyjokes.co.uk lol . I've used you quite a lot and your service is fantastic :) .

Regarding SplashPlastic i believe it's a goner simply because when your 12 you can get a Solo card from Natwest and i dont think the idea of a top it up card has kicked off for Splash Plastic.

As you say you dont recieve a lot of payments through it but i would keep it as a paying option still as it gives the customer a wider range of payment methods.

Regards,

Callum.

They never sent us a lot of business and we negotiated away any standing fees from them but the sales have simply dwindled to virtually nothing.

When I checked their directory of merchants a signifcant proportion of them no longer exist, not due to Splash Plastic - it just shows that they aren't keeping house on their site.

Ideas and websites like this have a habit of getting bought out and revamped so as long as it isn't confusing my users I'll probably leave them as they are.

I would comment that it seemed like a good idea to allow kids to buy from us - we are family friendly afterall, but children do make difficult customers - they often neglect to enter complete delivery addresses, correct email addresses and they break things and send them back more often than adults. Bless their cotton socks.

I always think of the Splash Plastic orders, which are usually less than £2, as a service to the community rather than a money making venture.

I rather fondly believe that kids enjoy picking out a prank and spending their hard earned pocket money with us and then waiting for the postie to deliver the little box. We're building memories here.

I really agree with this comment, kids love to recieve post and what SillyJokes are doing is a very kind and caring thing.

Dwelling on it now i think its best to keep this option as it looks good on your part as a company.

Callum
