Someone wants to pay me via Visa Debit

Hi sorry for putting this thread here didn't really know where else to put it. Basically i'm selling a TV via an advert on a website like trade-it. But the person who is interested in buying the TV lives too far away so they want to pay for the tele with their Visa Debit card instead of cash.

How can i accept the payment this way without having to use the likes of paypal etc?

Couldn't they just transfer the cash to you via internet banking direct into your account?

Failing that there is the good old fashioned cheque?

This would be the most simple way.

Pay pal is the obvious choice, where the person paying can use this form of payment and not even need and account.

I do not think you can do a charge back on a debit card. You should be ok, better than paypal

Yea you can't do a charge back on a debit card, only a credit card. However if PayPal is used then a dispute could be raised.

So it's a safer bet to use a debit card. Plus paypal has a higher commision

I would be a little worried, i would ONLY take the payment via Bank transfer, if you take the payment via paypal he could easily raise a dispute & knowing paypal they would side with him
