Okay so as in my last post I though I had sent the newsletter but it appears it did not go as if I go to view sent message in phplist is has 0 as sent.
So I have message ready and I know to send the message I need to select the list, send message to selected list and then process the message queue.
But last tiem I did this the site went down and I dont think the email has been sent. It says my list is not active what should I do here? and that in my cpnael I have used all my disk space, would this prevent it form going, I have contacted my web hosters but have not yet had a reply.
appricate any input or help to get the emails sent out?

I'd start using a newsletter distribution service like mailchimp, constant contact etc.
It may cost you (I think under 500 subscribers on mail chimp is free) but you get so much more data back which helps you understand and target your customers.
For example with mailchimp we've got it hooked into google analytics so I can see how much revenue is generated by each newsletter we send out based on who's clicked through from the newsletter.

Which browser are you using to send the emails? We had a similar issue recently, albeit using different mailing software, and the reason for the fail turned out to be some java recently installed in a Firefox update (or at least that was my understanding). We were advised to try again using a different browser (we used IE8) and the mail went with no problem.

Might be worth a try?
