Is there a simple guide on VAT requirements when selling to the EU from the UK.

I sell some small items and theres some conflicting information online in regard to requirements..

Can I basically export to any country outside the UK and not apply vat, keep a list of all exports for quarterly vat return and thats it .. ?

Or is there a lot more too it...

I'd recommend talking to a company with expertise.
We use TaxBack International to handle our UK VAT filings etc, as we are selling into the UK from the EU.
