Search problem with listing for http://www.catalanvilla.info

The keyword 'vacation villa' is quite competitive, and will be used mainly by US and some European internet surfers. I would use a mixture of 'holiday' and 'vacation' within the keywords.

How long has the website been listed on Google in particular? In which country is your site hosted in?

If it's a new domain name and you've just been listed in Google (which looks like it's the case) then it'll take upto 12 months before you start to ranked high for competitive keywords, and most holiday and vacation keywords are just that.. competitive.

If your hosted in the USA, it'll be easier to rank on Google.com but it'll take longer to get ranked on .co.uk that's from my own experience anyway - so bear in mind the different country variations of a keyword.

Yahoo and MSN will be easier to get ranked, but won't pull in the type of traffic that Google will. Make sure that the keywords you are optimising are used within the content on your page, but without sounding like spam.

Get links to your website using these keywords, and within time you'll notice a difference. Search engine optimisation is not something that will take a day or week to master - it can take months and years.

Search engines, especially Google used to be fairly easy to rank in - but with the increase in spam sites, Google had to do something to stop spammers.

So focus on

Content featuring your keywords
Links to your page using these keywords
Write articles to drive traffic and links to your site
Submit your site to the thousands of directories out there.

Hope this helps
